Coorg is a tranquil, little town in Southern Karnataka, cradled in the Western Ghats. It is famous mainly for its austere sights, varied wildlife, world-class coffee and the Kodavas, the ethnic warrior people of Coorg.





The place you are referring to is called Coorg, also known as Kodagu. Coorg is an administrative district in Karnataka and is filled with emerald green landscapes and acres of plantation. It was the British Planter community who had affectionately coined the term 'The Scotland of India' for Coorg.



With the temperature ranging between 15 degree Celcius and 20 degree Celcius throughout the year, Coorg is a year-round destination. That said, October to March is the best time for adventure activities especially trekking. March and April are the favoured months to experience the valley shrouded in white flowers.
